Always other options

If airline passengers don't want to go through the scanners, or have a full body pat-down, there is always the option to ride the train, a bus, ride a bicycle or drive to your destination. I don't understand why this is creating such a big fuss.

We did not have any security scans before the planes were hijacked on Sept. 11, and look what happened. I wish they had scanners before then and maybe this tragedy would have never occurred. How come after this event occurred everybody was saying we need more security at the airports? Does everybody believe these homicidal murderers will not strike again?

Without the intense security there would be a terrorist attack every day in this country. Why don't we eliminate all security checks, retain every law firm in the country so they can sue everybody involved, go outside and watch the planes fall from the air in a ball of fire, then stand around and complain about what is happening because they did not want to go through a scanner or security check?

They say the scanners "could cause cancer." Well, so does drinking bottles of soft drinks every day for 30 years, consuming a pound of sugar a day for 30 years, going to the beach and lying out in the sun all day, and smoking cigarettes. However, these events happen everyday -- so why isn't there a national outcry to ban these practices?

I have a better suggestion: Let's eliminate all terrorist groups in the world and the problem will be settled. Wake up, America, and smell the air before it smells of blown-up planes.

Stop your complaining, go through the scanners, get on the plane and enjoy your families and friends while you can.
