The best of the Republican field has not been seen in any debates yet I hope. Electing a president seems to be all about the money game today. Why on earth would the Republicans be settling for anyone out of the top group we have seen up to now? Do they think Romney can beat President Obama? I don't think so! Why would that happen when even most Republicans can't stand the flip flop man with no personality? Yes right now in the top tier Romney comes across as their best choice because he's not far far right but what if Romney wasn't backed by big money or his own?

Buddy Roemer

Buddy Romer looks like a much better choice for the Republicans to me than Romney. He's been a governor and he has served in the house from 1981 -1988 so we know he understands Washington. Buddy also is a businessman in his private life which means a lot to some groups of people. Buddy will only accept money donations up to $100 which means he can't be bought by special interest groups and that may be the reason he never gets much news coverage. The Republicans who are not happy with their choices so far (and I believe they should not be happy) should take a long hard look at Buddy Roemer. He just could be the Republicans' secret weapon against President Obama in 2012.
