Seems like each week we hear some Republican say something stupid about how much they know about women. This week it was Todd Akins, the Republicans' hope to beat Sen. Claire McCaskill in the Missouri Senate race. Todd Akins said “If it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut the whole thing down," Akin told KTVI-TV in St. Louis.
I'm sure many women find it interesting how much better Republican men seem to know a woman’s body than they do. (If this is true why do we have so many divorces?)
Of course we now have a vice-presidential candidate that pretty much has the same views on women's rights as the stupid Senate candidate from the Show Me State of Missouri. Paul Ryan is not the friend of women's rights either, just check out his record.
This election in November is more than just about the economy. This election is about medical rights for women, Social Security and Medicare rights for seniors and Medicaid rights for the less fortunate.
Make sure you are registered because many voting laws have been changed this year by a GOP party that is desperate to steal the election away from President Obama.
