We’ve known for a while that Mitt Romney is out of touch with the average American. I thought a year ago that Mitt Romney would be an ok president. I’ve changed my mind on that. In this campaign year he has proven to me that he is not very good at explaining anything. His statement in the “secret video” about the 47% of Americans he thinks are free- loaders just put the nail in his campaign coffin, as far as I am concerned.
Many rich people have been presidents. Yet Mitt Romney seems to have his values all mixed up compared to former rich presidents. Mitt seems to think that many Americans are envious of him because he has money. He thinks this is one reason people won’t vote for him. Maybe it is a good reason to some people but I could care less. I look for a president that is fair and caring to all people in America. After all, the president represents all the American people at home and abroad and we want to look smart to the entire world.
Romney seems scared to talk about himself and his money. Maybe he feels a little guilty about how he made his millions. Why on earth is he afraid to share his tax returns? Is Mitt hiding some dark secret from all of us taxpayers? We can only wonder and suspect at this point.
Why is it rich people that think like Mitt Romney look down on hard-working Americans? Is it because they think others are less educated, lazy or some other reason? I’ve seen many times in my lifetime how people with money treat persons they think are beneath them such as a waitress or waiter.
What would happen to the rich people if we all were rich like them? Who would wash their cars, mow their lawns, pull their weeds, teach their kids and so on?
Take a look around America; we have been cutting taxes for years and the rich are getting richer. When is enough money enough? The rich are going to die just like the not so rich and Jesus said you can’t buy your way into heaven.
Mitt, you don’t dig ditches in the hot sun all day. You make your money betting on whether a company is a winner or a loser without caring if workers are hurt when a plant is sold or closed. How can you do this and not feel guilty about taking someone’s job, health care or home away? I know some will say you give money to your church. That church money doesn’t take the pain away from the poor family who just lost all they were working hard for. I would have to wonder how you could sleep at night. I think you’re just a spoiled rich kid with too much time and money on your hands and not enough dirt under your nails. After all your cars get to ride an elevator and sleep inside; that’s way better than what happens to a lot of poor people.
