I hope American voters are smarter than the Republicans give them credit for. Haven’t we heard over and over again that government doesn’t create jobs?

So where is one of the areas that Mitt Romney wants to spend money and put Americans into more debt? Military spending for Mr. Romney is right at the top of his list and he thinks that will create jobs. He seems to be fine with funding the military but not Social Security or Medicare which we all invest in.

Now I’m all for having a strong defense budget but we have been out of control on this issue for the last ten years or so. Other countries can cut back on their military budgets because they know good old America will help them if need be.

Look at the chart below and see where Mitt Romney’s red line takes us. We can’t afford the Mitt Romney plan. It’s time to get our military budget under control. It’s time for President Obama to continue getting on the right path at home and bringing down the Bush debt.
